The Check In is an intentional LGBTQIA+ student space for conversation, support, and community. A welcoming and supportive environment for students to discuss meaningful topics with engaging, creative activities.
- Ask questions on Queer & Trans topics
- Get to know others in an affirming space
- Take care of each other in community
- Facilitated by a GSC staff member and Counseling Center therapist

Beyond the Binary Weekly Support Group
Trans or Gender Non-Conforming Students
Beyond the Binary is a weekly support group for UIC students who identify as Trans or Gender Non-Conforming and talk about the issues that are important to you. Facilitated by a Queer therapist from the Counseling Center. Attend any or all- the choice is yours!

Counseling Center
The Counseling Center provides a wide range of mental health services to UIC students including individual, group, and relationship therapy, outreach and consultation across the UIC community, workshops, peer support groups, and 24/7 crisis intervention services.
