Do You See Me?: A Collaborative Mural Project

Are you interested in supporting LGBTQIA+ communities?
Have you ever felt invisible/hypervisible?

Come and Create with us!

artOUT, a student committee affiliated with @Gallery400 at UIC, is partnering with @UICGSC (Gender and Sexuality Center) to host a virtual live collaborative mural project event on November 20, 2020. We are currently seeking people in the UIC community who are interested in participating in this collaborative mural project. The creation of the mural will be recorded and included in the GSC’s online exhibition “Highly (In)visible” featuring artwork by Antonio D. Santos. (https://gsc.uic.edu/highlyinvisible/)

What?
For this event we ask you to think about the times that you have felt invisible or visible while exploring your identities. Whether through stories or images (drawn or found) you are invited to share your experiences on our virtual whiteboard via Draw.Chat (Link: draw.chat).

Who can participate?
UIC undergraduate and graduate students
UIC alumni
UIC faculty/staff members

When?
Friday, November 20th, 1-6 pm
This event is a drop-in style project. Feel free to come in anytime within these hours and stay for as long or short as you want.

Please sign up on our Google form by Thursday, November 19:
